AUIC joins the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum

On September 22–23, Baku hosted the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025) under the auspices of President Ilham Aliyev. The Forum was held under the theme “Strengthening East–West and North–South links in a divided global economy” and brought together more than 250 representatives from countries including China, Türkiye, Russia, Israel, the UAE, and Australia, making it one of the largest investment gatherings Azerbaijan has hosted to date.

The Forum’s discussions covered a wide range of areas—from transport and logistics to energy, infrastructure, innovation, and green technologies. According to Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, documents on investment projects worth more than $10 billion were signed during the forum. He noted on his social media page that Azerbaijan once again demonstrated its openness to foreign capital, its stable economic environment, and its role as a reliable partner for long-term cooperation. Out of the total, more than $7 billion is planned for projects in the non-oil sector, which the minister said would help diversify the economy, accelerate technology transfer, and raise overall prosperity.

The forum provided a platform for countries located at the strategic crossroads of East and West to explore investment opportunities and discuss the future of global trade and sustainable supply chains. Participants not only gained valuable insights into new global competitiveness paradigms but also had the opportunity to establish high-level connections, conclude strategic agreements, and form new partnerships. According to experts, Azerbaijan has once again demonstrated its open and stable economic environment for foreign investment, the significance of its strategic projects, and its position as a reliable partner for long-term cooperation. AUIC’s participation emphasized the value of expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in strategic sectors and reaffirmed their commitment to joint economic initiatives.
