Higher education plays a critical role in building human capital for the economy and shaping a country’s long-term development potential. Against the backdrop of demographic growth and increasing demand for applied and technology-driven skills, the sector remains a key investment priority.
Recognizing this potential and aiming to support the sector’s sustainable growth, AUIK has acquired an equity stake in the American University of Technology (AUT) in Tashkent. The university operates in partnership with Cintana Education and Arizona State University. The volume of AUIC’s direct investment amounted to USD 2 million.
The invested funds will be allocated to the development of university infrastructure and the strengthening of its material and technical base.
AUIC’s investment is aimed at fostering international academic cooperation, introducing advanced educational and governance practices, and supporting the institutional development of Uzbekistan’s higher education system.
