On June 20, the 14th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was held in Baku.
The parties emphasized that investment cooperation remains one of the key priorities. The Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company (AUIC) opens up additional opportunities for joint financing of projects both within the two countries and in a broader regional context. At present, the company is reviewing 15 promising projects across various sectors.

The meeting also addressed the current state and further steps for diversifying trade and economic ties, attracting investments, and enhancing cooperation in key areas:

🔹 healthcare and pharmaceuticals
🔹 innovation and public services
🔹 tourism
🔹 cultural and humanitarian initiatives
🔹 media and communications
At the conclusion of the meeting, the co-chairs of the commission signed a final protocol outlining agreements on the continued expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan across all the above-mentioned areas.
