Zaur Bek, advisor to the CEO of AUIC, took part in the 9th session of the German-Uzbek Economic Council (DUWIRAT), held at the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK)

Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov presented the country’s strategic priorities in digitalization, energy, and human capital development, inviting German businesses to actively participate in the nation’s economic transformation.

Both sides highlighted the dynamic growth of Uzbekistan’s economy: a 6% GDP increase and bilateral trade with Germany reaching €1.173 billion are strong indicators of the deepening partnership.

The Economic Council serves as a platform for dialogue and the launch of joint projects, including IT outsourcing and workforce training initiatives. As part of the new Germany Investment Navigator (GIN) initiative, key projects were discussed — from supporting railway reforms (DB Engineering & Consulting), and establishing a regional poultry breeding center (Aviagen), to expanding textile exports to Germany, including the acquisition of German brands (Langheinrich Vertriebs GmbH).

The AUIC advisor also held bilateral meetings with German companies and Uzbek entrepreneurs, discussing new collaboration opportunities with AUIC.

AUIC remains committed to fostering resilient international partnerships that drive economic growth and innovation across the region.
