A joint Uzbek-Azerbaijani logistics center will be established at a site integrated with the infrastructure of the Baku International Sea Trade Port.

The center will be connected to Azerbaijan’s railway network and international transport routes linking Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Europe.

Its key functions will include:

→ storage and handling of goods

→ expedited customs clearance and transit procedures

→ cargo consolidation and multimodal transshipment

The project is particularly relevant in the context of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway currently under development. The new route is expected to significantly increase freight flows from China and Central Asia towards the Caspian Sea, further strengthening the role of the Port of Baku as a key transit hub for onward cargo transportation to Europe via the Middle Corridor.

The project is expected to reduce delivery times along the Tashkent–Baku route and enhance the competitiveness and efficiency of regional freight transportation.
