Central Asia is gradually evolving not only into an investment destination, but into a fully-fledged investment platform. And Uzbekistan is positioning itself to become its financial core.

By 2027, the country plans to fully launch the Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC) — a new infrastructure for international capital operating under English common law, with an independent court and regulatory framework.

At the same time, the government is preparing legislation on alternative investment funds for private equity and venture capital — a significant step toward strengthening the venture investment ecosystem and attracting global market players.

Against this backdrop, the launch of the TIFC appears not merely as an ambitious initiative, but as a natural continuation of the country’s broader economic transformation:

  • Uzbekistan’s GDP has surpassed $147 billion,
  • the volume of attracted investments has reached $43 billion,
  • international rating agencies have upgraded the country’s assessments,
  • while UzNIF has entered global capital markets through a dual listing.
