Industrial zones are becoming an increasingly important instrument for supporting manufacturing and export growth in Azerbaijan.
To date, more than AZN 7.2 billion (approximately $4.2 billion) has been invested in industrial zones managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency.
Over this period, resident companies have produced and sold goods worth AZN 20.9 billion (approximately $12.3 billion), of which more than AZN 6.7 billion ($3.9 billion) accounted for exports.
Azerbaijan currently has 9 industrial parks, 3 industrial districts, and 2 privately operated industrial districts. They are home to 148 registered residents and 10 non-residents, while the projects implemented within these zones have created more than 11,200 permanent jobs.
